1. Booking & Payment Details

A deposit if £50 is required for all discos to secure a date.  Full payment must be made at least 7 days prior to the function.  All cheques to be made payable to CLIVE MACKAY.  Please note:- No reminder given by Highland Discos to pay balance.  School discos do not require a deposit and full payment is accepted on the night of the disco.  Late booking of a function by you within 14 days of required date has to be either paid in full at time of booking of before start of disco or on the night with cash as authorised by Highland Discos.

2.  Confirmation

A booking form will be sent to you with the terms and conditions.  Highland Discos will send confirmation of a booking by either a letter or an e-mail when we have received the completed booking form, signed terms and conditions form and a deposit by cheque.  Cheque card number and expiry date required on the reverseof the cheque.  We do not accept credit cards.  A confirmation of paying balance will be sent by either letter or e-mail.  We should be notified by letter of any changes made after the initial booking.

3.  Miscellaneous

It is the person booking Highland Discos responsibility to inform us of difficult access such as stairs or any other difficulties relating to the night in question.  It is your responsibility at the time of booking to inform the premises of the required entry time, which is 45 minutes before the start and to make sure there is clear access to the entry door for a car with trailer.It isnot up to Higland Discos to move guests to gain space for disco setup.  We cannot be held responsible for children, guests or the premises staff being hurt or any damage to clothes when near or touching any part of the equipment.  We cannot be resbonsible for guests suffering from any illness or allergy.  Any extra time after the arange finish time is charged at £30 per half hour and paid by cash on request of the DJ.  We cannot guarantee having every song requested on the night unless previously asked for at the time of booking.  Messages left on the voicemail service are not confirmation of anything.  It is the person booking Highland Discos responsibility to have adequate supervision at the function and to inform us if it is not suitable to use smoke, strobelights or any form of pyrotechnics.     All bookings are taken on the understanding that the venue is in possession of the necessary entertainment and liquor licenses. We are not responsible if the venue is found to be in breach of the terms of license.  In the unlikely event of total disco equipment failure a pro-rata refund will be given for the time remaining minus the deposit. ( Excluding circumstances beyond our control i.e power failure ).

4.  Cancellation by Customer

Deposits are non refundable.  Cancellation must be first telephoned and followed by a letter confirming this.  Once balance is paid no refund can be given unless the fault of Highland Discos.  A change of date within 21 days of the booking date is also considered as a cancellation.  Christmas discos must have final confirmation at least 3 months prior to date required.  A minimum of £50 charge will be due if cancelled within this time as it can be difficult for us to seek alternative bookings for these dates at a late stage.

5.  Cancellation by Highland Discos

Whilst this has never happened if on an occasion where Highland Discos must cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, illness, breakdown, etc), the amount paid will be refunded in full. ( This will be the full extent of highland discos liabilty ).We will attempt to provide a substitute disco if possible but cannot guarantee this.  Remember to date we have not let anyone down.  We retain the right to the cancel the disco and give no refund should we discover that the venue is unsuitable or that access is not allowed or is dangerous in any way to Highland Discos staff.  Highland Discos to not tolerate violent, abussive or threatning behaviour to its staff from anyone under any circumstances. We reserve the right to terminate our services at any time that we feel our personnel safety is under threat . We are not responsible for any power failure at the venue.  If you the customer break the contract arrangements made after signing the Terms of Agreement, Highland Discos may be forced to cancel the booking and no refund will be given.

Highland Discos reserve the right to make any change in our Terms and Conditions at late notice.
